Walking as He Walked

When you were sin, your spirit was pure evil, only restrained by your conscience which is according to what your mind believes.

Those who have no consciousness of sin and of God, evil is expressed freely through them by their spirit.

Likewise, those who have been made the righteousness of God in their spirit by being born-again now have a new nature. God’s Spirit and nature in you is now being restrained by your conscience according to what you believe.

If your mind is in agreement with His Word resulting in a conscience that requires that you be a doer of His Word, then what is in you will flow like a river out of you doing the same works Christ did and greater.

However, if you have accepted the doctrines of men as the Word of God, your conscience, again a product of your believing (or unbelieving) mind, will prevent God’s will and nature from being expressed freely through you.

Therefore, as God has brought your spirit into agreement with His Spirit, so your mind must be brought into agreement with His mind. The less conflict you have in your conscience with the Truth, the more Christ will be seen living, speaking, and doing through you.

In this way we can truly see those who have fellowship with God, if they are walking in the footsteps of Jesus.

1 John 2:6

whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked.
