To lack the knowledge of God must be a hollow, empty existence. My personal knowledge of God came at a fairly young age. I was barely a teenager at church camp when I asked Jesus to be my Lord. From that point on, He always walked with me. I admit sometimes my focus was not on Jesus but He never left me nor did He ignore me. For someone who doesn’t know the assurance of His presence or the hope of His glory, their life is only as good as what the world around them can offer. According to what I read on Facebook, the quality of some people’s lives is determined by what they have, what they don’t have or what someone says about them.
As worshipers, we have the privilege of creating an atmosphere where the glory of God is abundantly rich.
The best the world has to offer is garbage compared to what Jesus brings into our lives. As worshipers, we have the privilege of creating an atmosphere where the glory of God is abundantly rich. Our devotion to Him is like a beautifully fragrant perfume poured into the room. All who are there cannot deny the presence of something extraordinary.
The Presence of the Beautiful One creates an encounter that satisfies longing hearts. On any given Sunday morning, there are thousands of storms raging in congregations across our cities. People are fighting against the worldly storms in their lives. In many cases, they try to run hard after God; hoping to catch up with Him so He can save them.
The only true way to pursue God is to enter into His rest. In His rest, we can hear His voice calming our storms so we can be about the Father’s business. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. Matthew 5:9
